Every Wednesday we offer a hot lunch followed by a program.  There is a new program each week such as a birthday celebration, a concert or a presentation.  Previous programs include performances by "The Stay Young Choir" and "Good Times Band" as well presentations by "Victoria Lifeline" and "More than Memories."  Wednesday is usually Gwen Secter's busiest day and numerous seniors come to socialize with one another.

Also, on Wednesdays we offer a shuttle bus that makes numerous stops in the Seven Oaks area.  It is easy access for those with limited mobility.  The bus costs one dollar each way or seven dollars and fifty cents which includes a ride there a back as well as lunch!  There are also taxi vouchers available for those who live away from the shuttle's stops.  It costs four dollars for a return trip.  The shuttle and taxi services have been extremely successful and help make these programs much more available to the seniors in our community! 

The Gwen Secter will be introducing a new program this fall called the New Horizon's Program.  The program is sponsored by the Gwen Secter Creative Living Centre and Social Development Canada and is supported by various other organizations.  It will take place on Monday afternoons from eleven thirty until three o'clock pm and will include a lunch followed by an educational presentation.  A bus will be picking up seniors in the Seven Oaks area and bringing them to and from the centre.  The cost of the bus there and back as well as the lunch is seven dollars.
